A room's story
Everything that ever happened in a room, in order, with who and when; it cannot be edited.
Every room keeps a permanent story. Tap a room number on the floor's screen, or click one on the housekeeping board under *Operations*, and read it newest first.
What is on it. Every status change — checked in, checked out, the day rolling over, closed out of order, opened again — with who did it. Every step of every visit: assigned, taken, at the door and what was found, cleaning started, paused and why, resumed, completed and how long it took, passed by whom. Every flag set and cleared — a DND and how long it stayed. Every ticket raised on the room — a request, a complaint, a maintenance job, a lost item — and its resolution. Later stages add the checklist, what was issued to the room, linen, the inspection score and photographs to the same story.
It cannot be edited or deleted, by anyone, including an administrator. A wrong entry is corrected by a later entry, and both stay. That is what makes it evidence: when a guest says nobody came, or a supervisor asks how long a room took, or an auditor asks who was in a room that was sold and empty, the answer is here and was written at the time.
Where the time comes from. Each moment is stamped by the server when the tap arrives, on the hotel's business date. A phone that was out of signal writes its steps when it reconnects, and those are marked as such.
