The inspection
A supervisor scores the cleaned room line by line; a pass makes it ready, a fail makes the re-clean by itself.
When a room is Cleaned, a supervisor taps Inspect on its card. The sheet is the hotel's inspection template — the built-in one has ten lines: bed, bathroom, floor, dusting, linen, amenities, smell, maintenance, pest, presentation — and each line is scored 0 to 5. Lines have weights; the bathroom and the bed count double. The overall is out of 100.
Pass or fail. The room passes when the overall is at or above the hotel's pass mark (80 by default, under *Housekeeping setup → Settings*) and no critical line — bathroom, smell, pest on the built-in sheet — scored 2 or under. A pass makes the room Ready at once. A fail sends it back to dirty, creates a re-clean visit for the same attendant with what failed written on it, and that visit is inspected again when it is done. A room that failed a critical line cannot be passed by anyone until it is re-cleaned and passes.
Turn the gate on. By default a supervisor's word still makes a room ready (stage 1) and an inspection is something they may also do. *Housekeeping setup → Settings → Every room is inspected before it is ready* makes every visit stop at Inspection pending until a sheet is scored. *A failed inspection needs a photograph* refuses a fail without a picture of what failed.
Which rooms to look at. The To inspect chip lists today's picks: every VIP room, every room with an open complaint, all of a new attendant's rooms (their first 30 days), half of a poor performer's, and a fifth of the rest — each percentage is the hotel's, under Settings. The draw is fixed: a room picked stays picked. A supervisor may inspect any other cleaned room too.
Every score is on the story, and every inspector's name.
