Linen and laundry
Fresh to the room, soiled to the batch, the batch to the laundry and back with the count checked; and a guest's laundry as a docket that charges the folio.
Hotel linen. A sheet replaced in a room (*Issue* on the phone, the linen lines) moves from the store to *Soiled linen*. On the store screen, Send a batch: the pieces per kind, the vendor or in-house, and a reference is written. When it comes back, Receive it: received goes to the store as fresh, *rewash* stays out, *rejected* and *discarded* (torn, stained) are written off with the reason. Where the linen is shows every kind in the store, soiled, at the laundry, against par, and what has been out more than 48 hours. Loss for a period is what was written off plus what never came back.
A guest's laundry. On the phone, Laundry on an occupied room: list the pieces (shirt, trousers, saree…), the service (wash, wash & iron, iron, dry-clean), express or not. The charge is priced from the hotel's list (store screen → Laundry prices; a line can be priced by hand) and posted to the guest's folio at pick-up, line by line with GST. The docket then moves: *sent out*, *ready*, *delivered* with the guest's acknowledgement — or *lost*, *damaged*, *rejected* with a note, and the desk voids or credits the charge. The board shows every open docket, what is late, and each vendor's turnaround.
