What to run daily, weekly and monthly
A short habit that catches most problems while they are still small.
Every morning
- Daily sales report — the owner's sheet: rooms, occupancy, ARR, RevPAR and revenue by head, today beside month to date, with tomorrow's arrivals, departures and rooms to sell. It is emailed to the account's contact address once every hotel has closed the day, all hotels on one sheet.
- Night audit report — last night, closed: rooms, revenue, tax, what was collected, who never arrived and who is still in a room past departure. One page; read it before anything else.
- Manager flash — last night's occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and revenue.
- Arrivals and departures for today.
- Outstanding balances — who owes money and how old it is.
Every week
- Source and segment production — where the business actually came from.
- City ledger ageing — companies drifting past their terms.
- Void and discount audit — the quietest place for money to leak.
Every month
- Sales register and tax summary in GSTR-1 shape, for the return.
- Room type and rate plan production, for next season's pricing.
- Cashier summary across the month.
The daily three take about five minutes together, and catch most things while they are still small.
The day book, every evening

- Operations → Day book — pick the day. Every collection on that business date, at the desk and at the outlets, by tender; and what the drawer should hold.
- Download CSV for the accountant.
