The guest owes more than the desk may waive

"The guest owes ₹1,240, which is more than the ₹500 this hotel lets the desk waive at check-out." Collect it, or a manager waives it.

The sentence: *The guest owes ₹1,240, which is more than the ₹500 this hotel lets the desk waive at check-out. Collect it, or ask a manager: a login that can write off a balance can waive it.*

Why: the hotel's ceiling on what the desk may forgive on its own is on Hotel details (₹500 unless changed). Above it the decision is a manager's.

Do this: collect the balance and check out; or have a manager — any login that may write off a balance — press Check out on the same card and waive it with a reason. Or, if the guest is genuinely not going to pay, route it to the city ledger (administrators) or write it off from the folio (managers).
