The Aadhaar or PAN is not valid
A format check at the desk, not a lookup against any government service.
The number typed cannot be an Aadhaar or a PAN — wrong length, wrong shape, or it fails the check digit.
- This is a format check only. Nothing is verified against UIDAI or the Income Tax department; the system is catching a typo at the desk instead of leaving it for an audit.
- Re-read the card. Aadhaar is twelve digits; PAN is five letters, four digits and a letter.
- If the guest has neither, use another accepted ID — a passport or a driving licence — rather than typing something that will pass.
For a foreign national the relevant documents are the passport and visa, and without them that guest cannot appear on Form C.
