Cannot move, and the administrator override
Room moves refuse for four reasons. Two can be overridden and two cannot.
Can be overridden by an administrator — the sentence itself ends with "an administrator can override this":
- The target room is not clean.
- The move crosses a room type in a way that needs authority.
Cannot be overridden, because the move would be untrue:
- "... is taken" — somebody is in the target room for part of those dates.
- "... is already in room ..." — it is already there.
- "has no room to move" — the booking has no room assigned yet, so there is nothing to move. Assign one.
- "belongs to another property" — the target room is at a different hotel.
Every move asks for a reason from your room-move list. It is what makes the room-move report worth reading — a hotel moving forty guests a month has a maintenance problem or an allocation problem, and the reasons say which.
