After the wizard: making the hotel actually ready
The wizard makes a hotel that exists. This is what makes it one that can trade.
Readiness has fifteen checks. The wizard clears eleven of them and leaves you four.
The four it leaves you
- Hotel amenities — step 2 of the wizard, the one people skip. Shows as
0 selected. - Room amenities — what is in each room type.
- Somebody can use it — at least one user with access to this hotel. See Adding somebody to the team.
- Rate sheet reaches — not a thing to fix once, a thing to watch. See Rates run out.
A fifteenth, Trading, goes green on its own once bookings are taken.
Then, in this order
- Lists & reasons — the eighteen short lists your staff pick from, including how you are paid and where business comes from. Twenty minutes, and it is what makes every reason report worth reading afterwards.
- Team & access — one login per person, with a role, and which hotels they may see. Make a second administrator: there is no self-service password reset, so one locked-out administrator is a telephone call to us.
- Check the payment methods and business sources read the way your hotel talks, and add the ones it needs.
Green on all fifteen means the hotel can take a booking, check a guest in, bill them and invoice them. Nothing weaker.
