Going live: the readiness checks
Eleven or so checks per hotel, and what each one means it cannot do yet.
Readiness answers one question per hotel: can it actually trade?
The checks cover:
- Visible and sellable — the hotel is active, not staged. A staged hotel is invisible and nobody can book it, which is the right state while it is being set up and the wrong state on opening day.
- Room types and rooms — types exist, and there are rooms under them.
- Rates loaded, and how far ahead they reach.
- Tax registration — GSTIN and state, without which no invoice is right.
- Payment methods, business sources, reasons lists — the short lists the desk picks from.
- At least one user who can sign in and work there.
A hotel with everything green can take a booking, check a guest in, bill them and invoice them. That is what green means, and nothing weaker.
