Setting a hotel up

Adding a hotel: the five steps

One wizard, five steps, and the hotel exists. Everything after it is adjustable.

Add a hotel in the Menu. Five steps, and the hotel is created in one movement at the end — nothing is half-made if you stop in the middle.

  1. The hotel — name, code, city, state and the GSTIN. The state matters more than it looks: it decides the place of supply and therefore whether tax is CGST plus SGST or IGST.
  2. What the hotel offers — amenities, and the basics guests ask about.
  3. Room types and rooms — the types, and the real room numbers under each. See Room types and real room numbers.
  4. Rates and policy — a rate per type and the cancellation policy. See Rates, plans and policy.
  5. Go live — review, and create.

After creating it, open Onboarding and read the readiness checks for the new hotel. The wizard makes a hotel that exists; readiness tells you whether it can actually trade.
