Who sold a booking, and what they are paid on it

Every booking names the login that typed it and the person credited with the sale. The Sales tab on the Reservations screen shows each seller what they brought, what stayed, and what it earned.

Two teams sell for the group and both sign in at the Reservations screen: the reservations team (the call centre, role *Reservations*) and the sales team (corporate, role *Sales*). Both take bookings into any hotel ticked for them; neither checks anyone in.

Two names on every booking

So a call-centre agent who types a booking for a corporate belonging to a salesperson is the *taker* and not the *seller*, and both columns say so.

Listing a corporate under a salesperson

On the Sales tab, Corporates: search a company and pick the person it belongs to. To load a whole list at once, paste lines of Company, Salesperson — each line reports back *assigned*, *no such company*, *no such person*, or *ambiguous* (then use the company's code or the person's email). Ticking *re-credit from* also moves the credit on that company's existing bookings from the date given.

The report

For a window of dates — by when the booking was taken, or by when the stay arrives — each seller's row shows: bookings credited, room nights, booked value; how many are still to come, in house, stayed, cancelled or no-show, and the conversion; what the stayed ones actually billed (realised, tax excluded, voids out), what was collected and what is still owed; the allowances given and any agent commission, and what is left (contribution). Open a row for the bookings behind it and the split by hotel. A seller who is not a manager sees their own row and nothing else.

Incentives

An administrator writes a plan for a team or for one person: a rate on what is realised (per cent), on nights slept or on bookings that stayed, above a target for the period. The statement for a period counts stays that *checked out* in it — slept and gone, the only point at which "really stayed" is a fact — applies the plan, and shows what is due against what has already been paid for that period. Record a payout writes it down with a reference and a date; it cannot be edited afterwards, only answered by another.
