Setup → Add a hotel. One form, and the hotel is built complete in a single step: rooms numbered by floor, rate plans, a price for every date a year ahead, restrictions, a cancellation policy, and the numbering it needs to issue a booking reference.

Have ready before you start:

• The hotel code — short, and seven characters or fewer. It is the prefix on every booking, folio, invoice and credit note number, and GST caps a document number at sixteen characters.
• Room types, how many rooms of each, and which floors they sit on.
• A nightly tariff for each room type. Without one the hotel is created and cannot be sold, because there is no price to quote.
• The GSTIN for that property. Each state is its own registration.
• The address and PIN — they print on the invoice and the registration card.

A new hotel is created staged. It takes no bookings until you open it, so you can set rates and staff first.
